The hum of conversation filled the air as familiar faces reunited and new connections sparked over the clink of teacups and chopsticks over a parade of Cantonese banquet classics. From delicate dim sum to whole fish and Peking duck, the evening was a feast in every sense—a shared table where stories, laughter, and aspirations flowed freely.
But this gathering was about more than just the food. It was a moment to reflect on the journey we’re all part of. Today, over 25% of venture capitalists and over 40% of tech workers identify as Asian. And yet, while these numbers speak to our presence, they don’t always capture the experience—the balancing act between heritage and industry, between ambition and community.
That’s why the Asian Tech Collective exists: to create spaces where we can celebrate that duality, where we can lift each other up and move forward together. This year, we were proud to partner with the Asian Law Caucus, the nation’s oldest civil rights organization advocating for the Asian and Pacific Islander community. Their work reminds us that progress in boardrooms and term sheets is intertwined with progress in policy and justice.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, who shared their stories, and who continue to shape the future of tech and venture capital. Here’s to another year of connection, celebration, and collective impact.
